Our rooms provide our guests with comfortable beds, private shower bathrooms, internet and cable television.
A self-serve healthy continental breakfast is available each morning and our comfortable living room is designed to offer all the comforts of home.
Our rooms occupy two floors: a downstairs king and queen; an upstairs queen, twin and king suite with an adjoining room with two twin beds. Rates vary by season.
DOWNSTAIRS KING BEDROOM​
Peak : $229 - $249
Off-Peak : $179 - $189
This spacious room is on the ground floor with views overlooking the apple orchard and “Folly in the Field”. This room features a grand library, a 4-poster king size bed, sitting chair, and bureau. Its windows face south, offering plenty of sunshine throughout the day.
DOWNSTAIRS QUEEN BEDROOM​
Peak : $219 - $239
Off-Peak : $169 - $179
The queen is cozy and light, offering a queen size bed, small library, private bath, bureau and chair. This room overlooks the fields and front garden.

"Beautiful inn just minutes from downtown Freeport. The king room on the first floor was spacious and cozy at the same time; the bed felt luxurious; the decor was gorgeously designed. A “healthy continental breakfast” awaited us right outside our room the next morning, delicious. This place will make you want to have someone send your personal belongings and move right in. Wish I would have stayed longer, but will most certainly be back soon!."

"Great bed and breakfast. Bill is a wonderful host and explained to us the history of the house when we visited. We stayed in the library room, which was apparently the old library of the previous owner. Aside from a weird portrait painting that watches you sleep, the decor was on point, and the entire experience felt very cozy. One thing to note is that the cafe is still under construction, and the breakfast is only continental, so you'll only be getting coffee and juice and some donuts and cereal. If you want hot food, you'll have to travel, but Bill recommended some great local places for seafood. Overall, great stay, and I'm definitely looking forward to returning once everything is completed!"
UPSTAIRS TWIN BEDROOM​

This room offers a pair of twin beds on the front of the house with a small library, bureau, vanity and private bathroom. It looks over at the fields and gardens on the property.

"Sadly, we only got to stay here for one night on our vacation along the Maine coast. I would have loved to spend more time here. The property is absolutely lovely both inside and out. We stayed in the downstairs king room, which is decorated with an entire wall of books behind the bed. As a librarian, it couldn't have been more perfect! The decor is fabulous and the room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was a nice touch, and both of the common rooms downstairs (where we ate breakfast) were charming and beautifully appointed. If we ever make it back to Maine, we would most definitely choose to stay here again."

"This was my second visit to the Orchard House & Cafe. This time I stayed in Room 4, which is a Queen bedroom on the second floor. My first visit last summer was so incredible that I had to come back for another stay. The house hasn't changed much, but it was still a new experience. Always a clean and quiet space, lovely breakfast, and attention to even the most minor detail. Hoping to take the time in the future to try out all of the rooms and offerings of this fantastic place. It is convenient to Portland and Brunswick. Will be back again!"
UPSTAIRS KING PLUS BEDROOM​

Perfect for a family, the king plus bedroom offers two adjoining rooms which sleep four. One offers a king size bed with a bureau, vanity and chair. An adjoining room features two twin sleigh beds and bureau. Both rooms share the private bath.​​

"My husband and I stayed in the "Library" room at the Orchard House Inn. It was more spacious than we had expected, and we were absolutely delighted with the tasteful and luxurious appointment. Although the room itself (with the adjoining private bath) gives the feel that you are staying in a 19th Century house), the room has all the modern comforts and conveniences we desired - strong Internet and TV reception, AC, lovely shower, plus windows that opened onto the lawn looking out on the small orchard to let us enjoy the cool evening air. Because we knew that the cafe was closed for renovation, we did not expect breakfast, but Bill provided a delicious continental breakfast including, of course, fresh blueberries! Walking the well-groomed grounds was delightful.​"

We stayed at the Orchard House & Cafe for only one night but it was brilliant. We arrived a little earlier than check-in as we were traveling down the coast but Bill was hugely welcoming, letting us check-in early.
We stayed in the King Suite upstairs, which had an adjoining twin room perfect for our five year old son. The rooms (and the whole property) are immaculately decorated with beautiful character and style. Clearly Bill has put a lot of thought into the decor. Loved the key code entry for the inn and rooms (emailed in advance), meaning check-in is super easy and you have no keys to lose!
This inn is worth every penny and was just what we needed.

For retreats, reunions and family-get-togethers, The Orchard House offers the entire Inn for short-term rental. This includes our 6-bedrooms, sleeping up to 12 people; the living room and dining room; outdoor deck and use of the property for outdoor activities. Self-serve continental breakfast will be provided each morning. No kitchen facilities are available.
