The Orchard House & Cafe is a classically beautiful house that has been elegantly restored. It is a great place to “get away from it all”! Innkeeper Bill Hamlen is a gracious host whose Inn is a reflection of his high standards for serving travelers properly. The rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast is delicious and the surroundings are beautiful!.
My mother and I had a wonderful time at your Inn!! Thank you for everything – particularly for giving us a tour and sharing your vision with us!! We can’t wait to come back and see it come to life!! The bed – as you indicated – was like a big “hug” and we slept well each night after long days of shopping, exploring, eating and driving. Thanks again and see you soon!
We love Maine! We love the Orchard House…our second visit in as many years! Two different experiences; one was quiet, the next was noisy (brought the whole family), but both equally wonderful and memorable. Thank you for sharing your time/effort/creativity with the touring visitors! Your location is perfect, the beds so comfy, and even fresh eggs from your hens who have a hotel as perfect as your guests! A refreshing bed & breakfast – breaking the mold! : This was a great find! Despite being located just a short drive past Freeport’s main shopping and dining area, you feel like you’re out in the country. But that’s where the country ends and style begins. You’ll be greeted by your friendly innkeeper and welcomed into a stunning light airy decor that immediately makes you feel at home. No lace or country craft just a clean cottage feel. Stay in the public areas and chat with other guests or retire to your beautiful bed and full bath for some privacy. You won’t go wrong with this choice.
